I just finished reading this last night and I loved it. It really drew me into the story with how it starts in our world. Also it has a really good allegory. 🙂

Adain ,who feels like a social outcast, is forced to move to Colorado from Maryland. Just after he makes a new friend, he is told that his grandfather is in need of help, due to his age. Little does Adain know that the most epic adventure of his life is about to begin. He will be pulled into a world that he has only ever read about in books. Dragons, nights, and a prince of evil await him and will challenge him at every turn. Adain must choose his path to either follow the prince of evil or The One True King. The Door Within is the first book of the trilogy and Wayne Thomas Batson does an excellent job in pulling the reader in, no matter the age.

Great book! The Door Within is one of my top five Favorite books I’ve ever read!! The plot is intriguing, the characters realistic, and the world Wayne Thomas Batson creates is incredible. I read this book in just a few days because I could not put it down! The way Batson writes makes you feel as if you were really in the story! I would recommend this book for everyone!
